What personality traits best support the work of governance, risk management and assurance practitioners? That was the research question behind a survey A&P Advisory ran in early 2020, which closed on 21 February 2020.
The survey gauged the predisposition of practitioners towards the level of professional and general scepticism they apply in activities such as audit. Its 24 questions were designed with a qualified psychologist and based on the NEO Personality Inventory, which examines the Big Five personality traits: openness to experience, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness and neuroticism.
Participants could leave their email to receive the results and analysis, which also informed our Governance Directions article on openness and agreeableness in governance.
